What are Childcare Vouchers?

Childcare Vouchers are an employee benefit that is tax and National Insurance exempt.  Once an employer is registered with Vouchers 4 Kids, eligible working parents are entitled to exchange £243 of their monthly salary (£55 a week) of their gros salary for childcare vouchers.

The exchanged amount of the salary is exempt from tax and National Insurance contributions, allowing your employees to make savings of up to £933 a parent, a year on their childcare costs. They can be used to pay for all types of registered childcare including day nurseries, nannies, au pairs, crèches, childminders, out of school clubs, holiday schemes, activity clubs and qualifying childcare offered by schools.

What are the benfits to offering childcare vouchers?

  • Improve your corporate image as a family friendly employer
  • Assists you in the recruitment and retention of staff

The cost of setting up and running a scheme is less than the savings your business makes. So it really does save you money.

Your business doesn't pay National Insurance on childcare vouchers - so you can save up to £402 per year for every employee who signs up to your scheme.
